Mastic Masters expansion Joint Replacement

"24 Hour Notice" " Turn off all water features"

Sealant Notice!

This notice provides important information regarding the sealing of expansion joints in your deck, driveway, walkway, or parking lot using a rubber epoxy sealant. Here are the key points to take away from this notice:

Please Watch Your Step!

  1. Sealant Cure Time: The sealant used requires 24 hours to cure completely. It is      important to avoid stepping on it during this time.
  2. Accelerator Option: An accelerator can be added to the sealant for an additional cost to reduce the cure time to under 12 hours.
  3. Watch Your Step: Until the sealant has cured, please stay off the deck, driveway, sidewalk area, and around the pool to avoid damaging the sealant.
  4. Rain: Rain is  generally not a concern after the first hour of application.

Service Providers: Contact any service providers, including deliveries, UPS, FedEx, etc., 24 hours before or after the work is completed to prevent any issues

Schedule Contractors 24hrs after our work

  1. Water Features: Turn off all water features, sprinklers, and pool sweepers the evening before installation to ensure a dry work area. Avoid swimming, spa use, or pool brushing during this time. A $75 return Trip Fee will Apply if Concrete is wet from NOT turning off sprinklers.
  2. Pets: Keep loose pets away from the work area as they may step in the sealant and track it  elsewhere.
  3. Contractors and  Landscaping: Schedule any contractors, mowing, or landscaping activities 24 hours after the installation to prevent damage to the sealant.
  4. Debris and Sand: Debris in the  sealant is not covered by warranty, but it will dry up and break away over time. Loose sand can be slippery and is necessary for the installation  process.

SEALTECHS

  1. Cleaning: You can sweep, use a weed blower, or hose off the deck areas after 24 hours.
  2. Traffic Flow: Areas will be taped off to prevent traffic during the curing process.
  3. Pressure Washing: You can safely pressure wash after 72 hours (3 days).
  4. Cure Time: The sealant may remain slightly tacky to the touch until it cures over several sunny days.
  5. Temperature Resistance: The sealant is durable within a wide temperature range, from -40 degrees  F to 180 degrees F.
  6. Driving: While you can realistically use your driveway immediately after the work is complete, it's best to wait for 24 hours to ensure the sealant is fully cured. This helps prevent any potential issues with tire contact.
